Langat Singh College, famously known as L. S. School, is the head and most established higher educational organization of North Bihar having a permanent impression in learning, literature, social and political life of Bihar. It was established in 1899 in the scenery of rising Indian patriotism by extensive social base. Babu Langat Singh had the most unmistakable impact in its foundation. In the time of 1900, the school was affiliated to Calcutta University. It was pronounced Government College in 1915 and further partnered to Patna University in 1917. In 1952, Bihar University was set up with central command at Muzaffarpur and the school was subsidiary to this new University. It is very clear that the College is a lot more seasoned than the current B. R. A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. The Post Graduate Departments of B. R. A.Bihar University got seperated from this foundation in 1979. From 1984 post graduate investigations of different streams have been reestablished at LS college. LS college has an immense and superb structure joining the element of Indo-Sarcenic engineering style. It was designed according to Balliol College of Oxford.
The main target of the college, since its origin, has been to shape the youthful personalities with the desire for inventiveness, soul of resilience and logical temper. To adapt to the changing needs of society and economy, professional courses have been presented alongside traditional courses. Enabling the young for limit building, instilling fundamental virtues, network advancement and reasonable admittance to poor and socially burdened gathering of human asset in the light of evolving monetary, social and social turn of events.
