About MES PU College:

Mysore Education Society (MES) College began in 1956 and was founded by Sri G.A.ACHARYA, Prof.M.P.L.Sastry, Sri M.Chinnaswamy, Prof B.R. Subba Rao and Smt. Vimala Rangachar. MES college started as an intermediate college. It has now become a full fledged college with degree college, post graduate center for mathematics and research department in applied mathematics.

Quality education is being imparted by MES PU College from the last 5 decades and it is growing from strength to strength. The college has seen a growth of number of students in last few years and has a wonderful stone structure with 4 floors in order to accomodate the students. Care, compassion and concern are the core guiding principles of this institution. It helps in shaping up the character, confidence and credibility of an individual.

The college has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has kept pace with changing ecosystem and growing challenges. It has also given importance to Indian tradition and culture. A typical day is started with a prayer followed by falicitating the acheivers and normal annoucements. MES PU College Fees Structure:

Admission process at MES PU College:

Admission can be obtained for 2 years PU course for any stream by candidates who have cleared the SSLC examination of Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, ICSE or CBSE 10th Standard examination or equivalent examinations recognized by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka Government. If you are a candidates from other states, you will need to produce eligibility certificates, issued by the department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka. Eligibility fee is collected along with the other fees by the institution.

Procedure:

• You need to obtain an application form from the college, completely fill it and submit the same along with copies of Marks Card, Transfer Certificates (TC) and other relevant certificates before the last date for submission determined by MES PU College.
• Relevant certificates need to be produced by candidates who are in reserved category
• The college will then notify the provisional list of selected candidates on the notice board of the college on a particular date
• If you are in the the provisional list, the principal will verify the certificates produced and allow admission subject to payment of relevant fees
• There will not be any refund of fees once paid

• MES PU College students have excelled in academics and obtained high percentage and ranks in PU board exams. This has been possible with the selfless dedicated services put in by all teachers, staff and the support provided by the Management. Students of MES PU College have given very high quality performance in all events and exams – securing top ranks or marks at various examinations. In addition, MES students have regularly obtained distinctions in competitive exams (CET, IIT-JEE, COMED-K, Science Olympiads etc.).

Facilities offered by MES PU College:

Classrooms are well maintained and well ventilated. This creates a good experience and environment of learning. The laboratories are well kept with all kinds of equipments and tools necessary for conducting the experiments.

Library

The library is having 5 floors and more than 75,000 books, with access to journals, magazines and competitive exam material. It is fully computerized with UGC Network resource centre. This is a programme funded by MHRD of N-LIST (National library and Information services infrastructure for scholarly content) under its National mission on education through ICT. Through this students and staff can access 21,000 e books and 50,000 e- journals and articles. Photocopying facility is also available.

Auditoria

The cultural /academic activities are held in a well equipped and acoustically designed auditorium which is an open air quadrangle.

LCD projectors, OHPs Internet facility and networked PCs connects all the departments and Library in the college.
