M.I.E.T Engineering College

The M.I.E.T Engineering College was established by the Mohamed Institute of Education and Technology Society, Tiruchirappalli in the year 1998, a Society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, at the initiative of
Alhaj A. Mohamed Yunus, an industrialist-cum-educationist as Founder Secretary and Alhaj S.M. Hassan Mohmed, a Philanthropist as Founder President with an objective to promote the cause of higher education. The College was started with the permission of the State Government vide G.O No. M.S.W. 105 dt.23.03.1998 and the approval of A.I.C.T.E vide Lr. No. F.W. 730-52-300 (E) ET/97 dt. 17.11.1997. The College is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is recognized as a Muslim Minority Institution under the Constitution of India. In a Short span of time, the College has registered an impressive track record of academic performance. It constantly strives to reach better standards of teaching for effective student learning and also carries out several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for developing life-skills in students. The College has well-laid hostels inside the campus for male students and in the town for female students.
