Malleswaram Ladies Association established in the year 1927, a non-profit organization, and undertook the bold venture of empowering women. Under the aegis of the Association Malleswaram Ladies’ Association First Grade College for Women to deliver Commerce Education, was started in the year 1985. The college is permanently affiliated to Bangalore University.

Empowering women with quality education is the vision of our institution. Towards this end the institution is motivated to work with total commitment to achieve excellence. MLA First Grade College for Women is dedicated to impart futuristic commerce education which is needed to meet the demands of national and global economy and instill ethical values, making the students conceptually stronger and morally binding. To accomplish this and to mould the students to stay abreast with the global demands of a complete and fully fledged personality, they are encouraged to take part in curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities at college, local, national and international levels.
