St. Joseph’s Pre-University Evening College, Residency Road, Bangalore

St. Joseph’s PU Evening College is administered by the Society of Jesus which is a Catholic religious order. It was founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius of Loyola. The members of this religious order is known as Jesuits who have been active in the field of education across the world. Banaglore Jesuit Education Society (BJES) runs various other educational institutions in Bangalore under the umbrella of Saint Joseph's college. St. Joseph’s Pre-University Evening College is in existence for more than 4 decades now. 

Admission process at St. Joseph’s PU Evening College:

Qualification for Admission

• Should have cleared Karnataka SSLC exam or some other equivalent exam accepted by the PU board
• S/he ought to fulfill all different conditions set by the PU board
• Students who finish class X or equal assessment in foreign need to acquire Eligibility Certificate from the chief, PU board, Palace Road , Bangalore 560001 before getting admission.
• Reservation classification (SC/ST/2A/2B/3A/3B and Physically Handicapped students must be issued by relevant officers of the govt of Karnataka. Same has to provided in photocopy attested by a gazetted officer at the time of admission.
• Work Certificate from the work place with authorization letters

Admission Procedure:

• College will provide you the application form
• Students willing to apply for various combinations needs to submit multiple application forms. 
• Category students need to produce original as well as photocopy of the certificate at the time of admission
• Within 2 days of 10th/SSLC result, the application form needs to be submitted at the college office
• College will publish list of provisionally selected students on the notice board.
• Interview details will be published on the college notice board. Students need to collect the interview card from the college
• On the date  of interview, the student along with his/her parents need to visit the principal for interview and counseling session. If you miss any timeline the nyou forfeit your chance.

Application forms for admission

Before the Karantaka SSLC, CBSE, ICSE results, the application forms can be collected from the office in the month of May. The same needs to be collected in physical form and submitted to the college right after the exam results. 

Documents for interview:

Before the interview, make sure you have the following documents are avaialble with you:

• Exam results of SSLC or equivalent
• Caste certificate
• Conduct certificate
• NOC if the student is a repeater
• Stamp size photos 3 nos.

Other certificates, if applicable:

• Income certificate from the Tehsildar if the annual income is less than Rs. 11,000
• SC/ST/other category certificate - 2 numbers - from the Tehsildar, Govt. of Karnataka
