TKR College of Engineering and Technology – a modern temple of learning, an off shoot of the TKR Educational Society was established in the year 2002 in a sprawling, lush green 20 acre campus at Meerpet, Hyderabad. The college provides a serene and tranquil environment to the students, boosting their mental potential and preparing them in all aspects to face the cut- throat global competition with a smile on the face and emerge victorious.

Sri Teegala Krishna Reddy, the Mayor of Hyderabad, is the founder chairman of TKR Educational Society. A Philanthropist by nature, “the friend of man, to vice alone of foe”, and an urge to see our students excelling themselves in all fields prompted him to start the educational society; making it easy for education to be within arm’s length of even a rural student and providing them with an independent and easy in the for pursuing their dreams and making them come true and in the process upholding moral and ethical values.

The person who puts in all his efforts to see the students excelling themselves and takes great pride in watching them carve out a niche for themselves is none other than Dr.T.Harinath Reddy, the Secretary of the college. A calm and serene countenance with sharp, twinkling eyes, he is the pivotal of encouragement and is always on the look out for avenues, which would provide the wherewithal for developing a cutting edge to their capabilities and potentialities.

Dr.T.Srihari was born in the year 1961. He studied his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from S.V.University College of Engineering, Tirupati and passed out in the year 1984. After appearing in the GATE 1983 December, he completed his M.E. with specialization in Production Engineering from O.U. College of Engineering, Hyderabad in 1986. After working for a brief period in Industry, he joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal during the period 1987-88. To satisfy his urge to acquire higher knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, he resigned to his job at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal and proceeded to Indian Instititute of Technology, Delhi to pursue his Ph.D. in the area of Welding Technology and obtained his degree in the year 1992.Later he joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad in the year 1992 and worked in the same college for 16 years i.e. till 2008 and served as a Professor for more than 7 years. He has published 36 technical papers at various National and International journals and conferences. He has organized a National Conference on Advances in Joining Technology and conducted a workshop on experimental techniques in Welding Technology for teachers working in various Engineering Colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh. He has guided several B.Tech. projects and 12 M.Tech. projects and 2 Ph.D.
