About Vivekananda PU College, Rajajinagar:

Vivekananda Pre-University College was started in 1973 by Janatha Education Society which is being managed by eminent personalities. The college is committed to provide good education and holistic development of students. The collge has got excellent facilities and is centrally located in the heart of Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. 

12 eminent citizens registered the society in 1972 which has grown to 140 full lifetime members. The central city campus is one among the 4 campuses of the society and the campus is spread over one acre area on Dr. Rajkumar Road, Rajaji Nagar II nd Stage, Bangalore- 560055. Adjacent to the building having area of about 90,000 sq.ft, 2 acre playground is present for sports activities of students. The society runs many institutions which has a combined strength of 8000+.

The students of the college have excelled in academic as well as extra curricular activities. The teachers are highly trained and experienced in inculcating value based learning to the students.

Monday to Friday - 8.15 am and 4.15 p.m.
Saturday - 8.30 a.m. and 12.40 p.m.

Admission Procedure at Vivekananda Pre-University College:

A candidate should have cleared 10th equivalent or SSLC exam before applying. You need to apply using this link or directly contact the college for application form. You will need to prepare a set of documents such as marks card of 10th, transfer certificate, photographs, caste certificate, sports certificate (if applicable) etc. The selection is based on merit and you may be called for interview/counseling on a selected date. The college will then announce provisionally selected students who may need to pay the admission fees.

Facilities offered at college:

• Library: College provides excellent reading facility will lot of volumes, books, magazines and journals.
• Computer center: Computer facility with high speed internet is provided without any extra cost in order to aid a student's learning program. Students are encouraged to to refer e-books, e-journals and prepare online projects. The college has Computer Lab, Business Lab and Language Lab. 
• Remedial Classes: Extra classes shall be taken to students who are having difficulty in grasping the concepts
• Sports: Students have access to various sports activities such as Volleyball, Basketball, Throw ball, Cricket, Shuttle badminton, Table tennis, Kabaddi for their physical development. Annual sports meet is held to encourage and identify talent. Students are encouraged to participate in outside campus events as well.
• Cultural activities: Dance, Singing, Drama, Debate, Quiz programmes are organized to identify talented students and they are also encouraged to participate at Inter collegiate/University/State/National cultural competitions/fests.
• Scholarships: Need based financial assistance is provided to economically weak students through various scholorship initiatives of the college.
• Hostel: College has hostel facilities for boys and girls. The boys hostel has a capacity of 110 students with 28 four bedroom facility. Girls hostel has capacity for 53 students. The hostel comes at an affordable cost and the college charges around Rs. 20,000/- per annum plus refundable deposit of Rs. 5,000. Both hostels have food facility, power back up, transportation facility, aqua guard for pure water and solar water for 24 hours. Food is charged at Rs. 100 per day.
