The state government has announced that there is 10 per cent fee hike in undergraduate professional courses like medical, dental, engineering and architectural courses.
The annual fee for engineering college seats, which is offered under government quota with a fee, will now be Rs. 38,500 for private colleges ,whereas last year Rs.35,000 this is applicable to colleges which charge management quota of Rs. 1 lakh a year. If colleges charge 1.25 lakh for the management quota, the CET seats will cost of Rs.33, 000, So we can conclude that there is increase of Rs. 3,000 compared to previous year. Even government quota in medicine, which has been hiked to Rs.38, 500 from Rs.35, 000 and same for Dental colleges, the fee has been hiked to Rs. 27,500 from 25,000.
