The Barclay’s Premier League continues for yet another thrilling week with some emotional Derbies and goal extravaganza.  Eight out of a possible ten fixtures saw teams grabbing a full bounty of three points.

Jurgen Klopp was denied a victory yet again and the mouthwatering Manchester Derby concludes at Old Trafford. Aston Villa are without a head coach now, here is all the latest news for you:

The weekend kicked off with five matches played across England at same time. The report is as follows,

  • Aston Villa vs Swansea City:

The fixture kicked-off at Villa Park on a sunny afternoon at Birmingham which later turned out to be the last match for Tim Sherwood as manager since the results were not as the former Spurs’ manager would have expected. The clash was more of rivalry between the Ayew brothers, with Jordan Ayew opening the scoring for Villa in 62nd minute.  A quick free-kick from Sigurdsson and a late match winning goal from Andre Ayew sealed 3 points for Gary Monk’s side.

  • Liecester City vs Crystal Palace:

The fixture featured at the King Power stadium at Leicester saw Ranieri’s men take on Pardew’s Palace in a highly entertaining 90 minutes. It was a low scoring game as compared to Liecester’s recent fixtures with Jamie Vardy, the front-runner for this year’s golden boot netted for 10th time. The Foxes notched a comfortable 3 points at home along with a clean-sheet which was one area the Gaffer was worried. The victory saw them just a point below Manchester United in the league table and just three points behind the league leaders.

  • Norwich City vs West Bromwich Albion:

The newly promoted Canaries were stunned at home by a determined West Brom team with goal coming in from Rondon right after half-time break. The combination of Rondon and Berahino seems to have worked for Pulis’ men as they not only registered three points but also broke into the top half of the table leveling with Liverpool and Southampton in terms of points and behind on goal difference.

  • Stoke City vs Watford:

The Potters suffered a huge defeat in the hands of Watford as Deeney netted for the first time in Premier League just before half-time. Adbi goal later on and a clean-sheet saw Watford above Stoke in the league table. Ighalo made both the assist as his fine form continues. Mark Hughes’s men would like to rectify their mistakes as they face Chelsea mid-week in the Capital One Cup fixture at home.

  • West Ham United vs Chelsea:

First of the many derbies scheduled for the gameweek took place at West London as Bilic’s men took on struggling Premier League Champions. Having goal denied for Chelsea through goal-line technology, West Ham took the advantage by scoring twice in the form of Zarate and Carroll. The English defender Cahill leveled the score for Chelsea just shy of the hour mark whereas the tall Caroll took the advantage of 10-men Chelsea who were without their midfielder Matic. The results continue to shock the Special One as he looks to turn around things the way he wants. With the victory, West Ham cruise into top 3 and only two points below the league leaders.
