Cholera claimed at least 138 dead in Haiti
The Haitian Government has informed the World Health Organization (WHO) of the death of 138 people and the existence of 1,526 affected by the outbreak which has affected the Lower Artibonite region, north of the capital, Port au Prince said Wall.

The Health Ministry said Wednesday it had sent samples to a laboratory to try to determine the exact pathology that caused these deaths. The Government has commissioned several experts to be deployed by the most affected areas as a precautionary measure while they have started distributing water purification tablets.

In addition, authorities have recommended that all people with symptoms to seek medical attention and, in any case respect the basic rules of hygiene.
