Minimum Requirements: Experiences (either internship or research and/or class work) in Performance Verification (PV), - Good understanding in circuit design and VLSI basic technology and power estimation, Library, or physical design algorithms - Good understanding in circuit design and VLSI basic technology - Good knowledge in Linux* (or Unix*) - Versatile in designing and developing solutions through scripting languages such as Perl, TCL* and Shell scripting interface - Good knowledge and experience in scripting languages (TCl and Perl) Preferred Requirements: The following qualifications would be added advantages: - RTL simulation and logic verification - Power Tools exposure and/or expertise - Standard cell library design and flow - Performance verification - Exposure to Analog Design would be an added advantage

Design Automation Eng - 600505 Description MCD Design Automation (DA) group is seeking a candidate to fill a design automation position in Performance Verification (PV), Power estimation, Library and physical design (Layout). In this position, you will be working closely with the rest of the DA team to set up and maintain microprocessor design tools, assist users with tool issues they encounter, interface with tool owners to resolve bugs, provide automation and make improvements to existing flows. You will be training users on tools. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Conducting studies and/or research on various fields to improve the tools performance and/or accuracy - Evaluating Different Process related impacts in context of a lead vehicle to Design Convergence - Participate in cell library design, characterization, and validation. - Support physical design layout tools and flows, by debugging user problems, providing documentation, and training users. - Driving project methodology and providing support to design engineers.
