The position focuses on German Tax Management and Controls. The role advises the business on tax matters on the total range of its taxable daily operations as well as partnering with the business to develop VAT, customs, Corporate Tax and C&B strategies. Prepares statutory audit programs efficiently. Works proactively to ensure support systems and processes have tax capability and can deliver all reporting requirement compliantly. Represents Intel with German Tax & trade bodies, conceives and drives tax strategies and negotiates with Government authorities to achieve the optimum tax environment for Intel?s business. The position requires an understanding of all taxes. The individual will build strong working relationships with cross functional groups, both within Germany and the rest of EMEA including all F&A functions, SMG, Purchasing and Legal across the Corporation to ensure business planning takes appropriate account of all domestic and international tax & customs implications. In this role the most important aspect is monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring effective methods of compliance. Managing external service providers is critical to success. Additional responsibilities include being a key contact on transfer pricing and tax accounting. Managing external tax audits effectively is also an expectation. As this person becomes more familiar with Intel and our tax position, the Tax Manager would begin advising the IMC business units on the tax implications, offering tax efficient alternatives which take into account Intel?s worldwide tax position. Success factors for this position include strong German Tax and accounting knowledge, communication skills and the ability to drive results. Good attention to detail is a must as well as an ability to work various projects simultaneously, prioritize objectives effectively, and meet deadlines. Longer term success will hinge on tax planning ability and the coordination and influence of finance and business partners across Intel.
