Job Description

In this position, you will be writing RTL code using Verilog*, developing test benches in HVLs, Verilog* or C. You will also be writing, maintaining and enhancing scripts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is needed. Person in this role is expected to lead the verification activity at cluster level as well as Full Chip level. Should have good knowledge on functional and code coverage. Should drive the overall verification methodology using HVLs like system verilog. Other Job Description: Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design circuit checking device evaluation and characterization documentation of specifications prototype construction and checkout modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components performing developmental and/or test work reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Skills required

Minimum Qualifications You should possess a Master's Degree in Electronics/VLSI and/or Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) area or equivalent with 3+ years of work experience. Experience in the following area an added plus. - VLSI Front-end experience - Sound understanding of logic design and functional verification fundamentals encompassing state machine design, logic design, functional test strategies, directed and stress test generation, verification infrastructures and verification and/or debug flows - Adept in programming and/or scripting (C++, Perl* and others) and be conversant with flows and tools for VLSI logic design and/or functional verification - VLSI Logic design and functional verification experience preferably with exposure to complex, high speed custom VLSI products Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Degree in electronics and/or electronics and communication and/or Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) area or equivalent with 2+ years of work experience. - Good knowledge on low power design and advanced power management techniques would be an added advantage - Good knowledge of synthesis, static timing analysis and formal verification would be an added advantage. - Working experience on the PCI-Express protocol would be an added advantage
