Mandara Jnanadayini School is a CBSE school with classes 1st to 10th in the city of Shivamogga in Karnataka. The school aims to provide holistic and value based education to the students along with a safe and caring learning environment. The main aim is to assist the students top learn the skills of how to become independent, self-sufficient and responsible citizens who can respond to fast changing world.
The school is nestled in a sprawling lush green campus at the Upper Tunga project, Gopasettykoppa of about 13 acres which provides excellent atmosphere for learning. The school is about 4 kms from Shivamogga bus stand and the school is designed on the pattern of Roman Amphitheatre.
The school has excellent library facility with a lot of books and magazines both fiction and non-fiction books are available.
The school starts at 8:40 am in the morning on all the days (Monday to Saturdays). The school begins at 9 am with assembly and ends at 3:20 pm with assembly. Special focus is provided for co-curricular activities on Saturday where students are encouraged to join clubs in order to show their creativity. Various activities are planned throughout the year to develop the student in all round areas.
Assignments, presentations and discussions are major part of the learning program. Regular assessment and evaluation of the students are done vide 4 unit tests, two before the midterm in September and 2 before the final exam. This leads to continuous evaluation and improvement of the candidate.
Attendance is compulsory every day and leave can be taken only in case it is absolutely necessary and only after taking prior permission of the principal.
Various activates are undertaken throughout the year which includes cultural program, games, physical education etc. Students are encouraged to take part in debates, discussions, quizzes, dramatics etc.
The school is quite strict on the fees part. You need to pay the fees in one instalment although the bus fee can be paid in 2 instalments one in June and the other in November. If a student defaults on the fee then his/her name will be stuck off from the rolls and readmission is not allowed.
