Vinayaka Mission’s College of Physiotherapy, Salem

Vinayaka Mission’s College of Physiotherapy is situated on the Salem–Coimbatore national highway, 20 kms away from Salem. It has a campus area of 7 acres and a built up area of 30000 sq. ft. which includes 6 classrooms, 1 central library, 12 laboratories and 1 physiotherapy out patient department. The college offers two programs namely Bachelor of Physiotherapy which is of 4 ½ years duration and Master of Physiotherapy which is of 2 years duration.

The college is attached to a 500 bedded multi-speciality medical college hospital and a 410 bedded super speciality hospital for clinical exposure. The college has 35 full time teaching faculty and 20 part-time teaching faculty to meet the academic needs of the students. It has 29 non-teaching staff to meet the administrative requirements. The student strength in the undergraduate section is 161 and the same is 100 in the Post Graduate section. An average of 100 outpatients and 120 inpatients receive physiotherapy services daily.
